Around the World in Eighty Days (1956 ) and The Dam Busters (1955 )

around%20the%20world%20-%20marquis.jpgBritish director Michael Anderson takes us on a whirlwind world tour in the famous Hollywood travelogue "Around the World in Eighty Days" with David Niven. The splendid full colour pastiche was followed by the considerably slower paced in-depth docu-drama, "The Dam Busters" with Richard Todd as Wing Commander Guy Gibson and Michael Redgrave recreating the bumbling but brilliant Professor Barnes Wallis.
